Knicks superstar Jeremy Lin may have missed a shot while sitting with Cardinal Timothy Dolan at the Time 100 Gala Tuesday night at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
“I asked Jeremy to pass me a piece of bread and it’s still floating around here somewhere,” joked Dolan.
Dolan’s promotion from archbishop to cardinal got him a spot on the 2012 TIME 100, plus a seat at a table with fellow honorees Lin and Hillary Clinton.
Lin, who is the first Chinese-American NBA player, earned his place on Time’s list with his breakout season that seemed headed for the record books, but ended in knee surgery.
“I feel like it’s a real blessing from God,” said Lin, who vowed to complete his bread pass to Dolan before the dinner ended.
“I’ll work on getting it to him,” he said.
Man, Lin gets to meet so many influential people. Blessed indeed.
